Works occurring around campus this week include refurbishing spaces at McHughs and window cleaning across Bedford Park and Sturt campuses.

Upgrades at McHughs

The refurbishment of spaces at McHughs will commence on Monday 8 August, and this building will be closed for use during this project, which is expected to be completed by October 2022. Alternative prayer rooms are located at Sturt and Oasis.

Some noise, vibration, debris and dust will be noticeable in this area during these works, so please take care when you’re in the vicinity and follow any directions or signage in place.

These works will provide a multifunctional space at McHughs  for students, serving both as a study area and as a facility for student-driven club events and activities.

Window cleaning across Bedford Park and Sturt

Contractors are scheduled to commence window cleaning in various buildings across Bedford Park and Sturt from Monday 8 August (weather permitting), with these works expected to be completed by the end of September. This second phase of window cleaning follows work undertaken in February and March.

The anticipated schedule for cleaning is outlined below – please note that these dates may be subject to change.

If you have operable windows, please keep them closed when window cleaners are on site. Temporary pedestrian diversions will be in place around and below the listed buildings during cleaning.
