Cast your vote for the 3MT Asia-Pacific winner

After taking out the top honour in Flinders University’s 3MT final, Dr Siobhan Fitzpatrick is set to compete in the Asia-Pacific semi-final virtual showcase.

The virtual semi-final has representatives from 57 universities across Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore competing to become the 2022 Virtual Asia-Pacific 3MT Winner.

This year, the competition will also have a People’s Choice component voted by the public. The competitor with the most votes will join the overall winners in the Asia-Pacific 3MT Final on Wednesday 19 October as the ‘wildcard’ entrant.

Voting for the virtual semi-final is open until 11:59pm on Thursday 6 October. To vote for Siobhan’s presentation, Repairing the gap: The impact of post-partum rectus diastasis on women’s quality of life, click here.

The Three Minute Thesis competition celebrates the exciting research conducted by Doctor of Philosophy students. Developed by The University of Queensland, 3MT cultivates students’ academic, presentation and research communication skills. The competition supports students’ capacity to effectively explain their research in three minutes, in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.
