Flinders’ excellence shines at state awards

Flinders University people were significant winners at the South Australian Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards Gala Dinner, held on Friday 21 October. The annual awards acknowledge and celebrate nurses and midwives around the state for their exceptional contribution to their professions and the health and wellbeing of the wider South Australian community.

Congratulations go to the many Flinders University graduates who were among the winners:

Excellence in Education: Ammie Thredgold, Rural Support Service, SA Health (BNg(PreReg) ’97

Excellence in Research and Knowledge Translation: Dr Julie Tucker, Lyell McEwin Hospital, Northern Adelaide Local Health Network, SA Health (BNg(PostReg) ’95, GradCertHlth ’96,  GradDipNg ’07, MNg(Cwk) ’08).

Excellence in Practice – Registered Midwife: Emma Lawler, Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Women’s and Children’s Health Network, SA Health (BMid(Prereg) ‘10).

Excellence in Practice – Early Career Midwife: Isabella Waller, Port Lincoln Hospital, Eyre and Far North Local Health Network, SA Health (BMid(Prereg) ’20).

Premier’s Nursing and Midwifery Scholarship recipients:
