Fab Festive decorations across Flinders

The festive spirit is alive and well across Flinders University, as staff flexed their creative muscles to decorate their work areas for the holidays.

The College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences hosted a ‘decorate your desk’ competition, and encouraged staff to try and bring a smile to the judges’ faces.

Vice-President and Executive Dean Professor Peter Monteath was impressed with the level of thought, camaraderie and spirit that was evident throughout the College over the past few weeks.

“I was so overwhelmed by the creativity and joy on display that an executive decision was made to open some additional award categories,” he said.

  • Individual Award – Colleen DeLaine.
  • Academic (New Award) – Sarah Peters.
  • Team (New Award) – OCME: Heidi Warren, Rebecca Esteve, Jess Ingram, Sophie Muir.
  • Honourable mention – The Packing Room Prize: Sonja Yates for the COVID-safe “SANTA-TIZER”.
