Research event builds SARDI collaboration

Flinders University recently hosted leading scientists from the South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI), which is the research division of  the Department of Primary Industries and Regions, South Australia (PIRSA), to promote more collaborative links between the organisations.

The showcase event on 2 February was designed to strengthen the alliance and existing research partnership between Flinders University and the Department of Primary Industries and Regions, South Australia (PIRSA) through highlighting Flinders’ world-class infrastructure and facilities, complementary research strengths and possible collaborative research opportunities.

Eighty-nine researchers from SARDI and Flinders toured facilities across the Bedford Park and Tonsley campuses. At the Tonsley Innovation District, several 2022 Flinders/SARDI seed grant recipients made presentations about their research, while presentations later in the day from 19 researchers and Cooperative Research Centres (CRC) were followed by productive discussions about possible collaborative research bids.

If you would like to be involved in future discussions and collaborative research proposals with SARDI or PIRSA, please signal your interest by emailing pirsa.partnership@flinders.edu.au
