Works around campus this week include pedestrian diversions in place around Physical Sciences and window cleaning at Bedford Park and Tonsley.

Slow down around campus

With many road works occurring around Flinders University, please drive carefully around campus and follow all speed limits in place. With our busy campus environment, please take additional care if you are driving near pedestrian crossings, and slow down wherever possible and drive to the conditions.

Pedestrian diversions in place – Physical Sciences

Please take additional care moving around the Physical Sciences building. Pedestrian diversions are in place for roof works near Anchor Court and the construction of a new lab towards car park 7.

For access from Anchor Court to McHughs and car park 9, please use the Lake Road as shown in the illustration at left.

Works are expected to be completed by the end of March 2023.

 

 

To access the Biology Discovery Building, please use the pedestrian pathway through car park 7, because the internal corridor on the ground floor will be closed until June 2023 (follow the directions as illustrated at right).

Access to the northern lift and to other floors via the stairwell on the ground floor will remain open.

For safety, please follow all directional signage in place and do not cross into fenced areas.

Window cleaning

Due to unseasonal weather, the window cleaning schedule has been adjusted. The remaining schedule is shown below and continues to be subject to change.

If you have operable windows, please keep them closed when window cleaners are on site. For safety reasons, some of the areas around and below these locations may be temporarily inaccessible while cleaning occurs. Please follow any temporary pedestrian diversions in place.

At the Tonsley building, contractors need to abseil down the side of the building to access windows. If you have any queries, please email Luke Lilburn.

University Drive and Sturt Road corner (eastern side)

Minor works are occurring this week near the Flinders University entry sign on the corner of Sturt Road and University Drive. Work will not impact road use in any way, but you may see activity in the area.
