Breathtaking fashion and costume creations from the next generation of fashion designers are being presented in Iridescent, Flinders University’s fashion showcase from the class of 2022 Bachelor of Creative Arts (Fashion) and Bachelor of Creative Arts (Costume Design) students.
Combining old world glamour and contemporary chic, the garments at this year’s parade, in the Adelaide Festival Centre Plaza at 6.30pm on 23 March, range from disco-inspired party dresses to bridal wear and regal costumes .
This showcase serves as a valuable launch pad for emerging designers, with many key personnel in the SA fashion industry in attendance.
For the first time, a new super screen has been installed at the event to ensure that the 600 people attending can see every aspect of the parade and all details of the designs.
The emerging designers have drawn on three years of knowledge and skills gained during their studies at Flinders to present these garments, using a diverse range of techniques and tools to bring their designs to life.
