Celebrating best and brightest in STEMM

Shine a spotlight on your research in 2023 by nominating for the SA Science Excellence and Innovation Awards, which showcase the critical importance of science, research and innovation to the development of industry and society.

These awards recognise the work of inspiring leaders and teams working in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine (STEMM) through the following categories:

  • South Australian Scientist of the Year
  • South Australian Innovator of the Year
  • PhD Research Excellence
  • Excellence in Science and Industry Collaboration
  • STEMM Educator of the Year – School (Primary or Secondary)
  • STEMM Educator of the Year – Tertiary (University or Registered Training Organisation)

Winners receive prize money to support their future work or career aspirations—with $25,000 awarded to both the South Australian Scientist of the Year and South Australian Innovator of the Year, and $10,000 each for the other category winners.
