
Our PhD Enterprise Scholarships allow our PhD Students to partner with industry to tackle research projects that address real-world challenges and provide a platform for research and internships that benefit all involved.
Recently, the Office of Graduate Research visited a few ongoing PhD studies and produced a video looking at the benefits of these programs.
The team visited Josh Fitton at the Institute for Sleep Health, his academic supervisor, Professor Danny Eckert, the director of FHMRI Sleep Health and Jessica Steens, the COO of Lumin Sports on the benefits of these programs.
You can also hear from James Kay, who is currently undertaking his PhD study at the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing. He is looking at ways to understand contemporary dropout behaviour among youth in sport, develop an evidence-based method for re-engaging youth into sport, and to implement and evaluate this new method in a local sporting context.

The Flinders Industry PhD project with Seeley International is one of Flinders’ successful recipients of the prestigious National Industry PhD Program Award. This award, through the Industry Researcher stream, enables industry professionals to undertake PhD projects in partnership with universities while maintaining their employment and receiving their salary.
