At the end of 2024, the Statement of Assessment Methods (SAMs) were decommissioned, with assessment data moved to Handbook, enhancing the visibility of assessment information for prospective and enrolled students, and reducing the duplication of effort when managing assessment information.

To facilitate this change, a link to Handbook was added to all FLO sites, including in the navigation of all courses. Later this week, the navigation link to the SAM tool will be removed.

Assessment information will continue to be updated, approved, and published for each topic availability through a CourseLoop proposal (via Service One request). Topic coordinators are asked to continue recording assessment dates in FLO.

Students commencing before 2025 were informed of the change last year via targeted communications but may seek assistance via AskFlinders or their Colleges. Academic staff are encouraged to remind these students of this change.

References to SAMs on staff web pages have been updated and replaced with relevant guidance.
