Awarded for discovery

Congratulations to Dr Anya Arthurs who was the recipient of the New Investigator (Poster) Award – Discovery Science at the Perinatal Society of Australia and New Zealand (PSANZ) Annual Congress. Dr Arthurs’ poster investigated using circRNAs to indicate placental ageing and as a mechanism for unexplained stillbirth.

Improving support and survivorship

Professor Lily Xiao and Associate Professor Michelle Bellon have been awarded funding in the latest round of grants from the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF). Professor Xiao received funding to support culturally diverse dementia carers, while Associate Professor Bellon’s work into cancer survivorship resources for people with intellectual disability will receive a boost.
