The Flinders University community is invited to provide feedback on a draft Indigenous Naming Policy. This new policy will complement the existing University Naming Policy by specifically addressing the use of traditional place names or words from Indigenous languages. It will govern the naming or co-naming of any part of the University’s physical environment with Indigenous names, outlining the necessary factors, consultation and engagement requirements, and approval processes.
