Upcoming campus works

Read more about a temporary lane closure on Sports Road, Biological Sciences building closure this weekend, and an update on the Humanities Road crossing.

Sports Road – temporary lane closure

SALHN are temporarily closing one lane of Sports Road (adjacent to HMRB) from 7am on Tuesday 15 April to 4pm on Wednesday 16 April for works on the Margaret Tobin Centre. If you’re travelling to or from HMRB, car park 12 or Flinders Railway Station, note that vehicle speed will be reduced to 25km/h via the single lane. Pedestrian access will also be maintained. Traffic management will be in place, so please follow directions on signs and from traffic managers onsite and take additional care or avoid the area where possible.

Crane lift – Biological Sciences

From 6:30am to 1pm on Saturday 12 April, the Biological Sciences building will be closed with no access while a crane is used to replace equipment on the roof. Biology Road will also be closed. Please do not cross into exclusion zones and follow any detours on the signs around the works.

Sturt – Safety Switch (RCD) Testing and Equipment Test & Tag

Until 17 April, safety switch testing and equipment test and tag will be occurring in the Sturt precinct. RCD testing requires a short power outage, and for this reason will be conducted out of ordinary business hours. Equipment testing and tagging takes place during business hours, commencing at 8am.

Humanities Road crossing update

The first stage of works at the Humanities Road/Oasis/car park 5/Laneway intersection have now been completed. Final works, which include new paving and loading bays, have been rescheduled to later in the year to allow for some underground services to be rerouted.

Once works are finalised, the road crossing will be safer for pedestrians and amenity in the area improved.
