
Consultation for the proposed Academic Career Framework has been extended until Wednesday 23 July 2025.
In 2024, the Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor introduced the concept of advancing the academic ecosystem. On the back of this, the University announced its plan to develop an Academic Career Framework (ACF).
A proposed framework, together with its associated policy and procedure documents, has now been developed and is open for staff consultation, find out more here.
Through the introduction of an ACF, we aim to:
- achieve greater clarity and transparency
- ensure equity, fairness and inclusivity
- facilitate consistency of interpretation and approach
- align with international frameworks of excellence; and
- optimise quality and impact of the academic profiles, promotion processes and their associated policies and procedures.

- The ACFFeedback@flinders.edu.au mailbox will be confidentially managed by People & Culture. All feedback submitted to this mailbox will be de-identified by People & Culture before being provided to appropriate senior leaders for consideration.
