In today’s fast-paced and often high-pressure work environments, maintaining mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing can be a challenge. This is where the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) plays a vital role. EAP is a self-referring, confidential support service, designed to help employees manage a range of personal and work-related issues. All our EAP providers are trained psychologists.
Psychologists are highly trained professionals who study how people think, feel, and behave. They help individuals navigate mental health challenges, emotional difficulties, and behavioural issues by offering insight, therapeutic support, and practical strategies. Through a safe and confidential space, the EAP psychologists guide people in understanding themselves more deeply and improving overall wellbeing. It provides support for healthier, more balanced lives. Using EAP can be proactive or when needed.
Taking the step to see a psychologist often comes with mixed emotions—apprehension, hope, vulnerability. It isn’t just about booking an appointment—it’s about recognising the potential for real, positive change in your life and overall well-being.
To support staff, Flinders provides three sessions per year for staff members that they can access for free. For more information, including how to book and the locations of EAP providers please see here.
