Work updates across three sites; equipment testing and tagging in the HMRB, repairing ceilings around Bedford Park, and replacing ACP panels at Tonsley.
Equipment Test & Tag in HMRB
Between 6am and 4pm from Monday 28 July to late August, testing and tagging will be conducted across all levels of the HMRB. Technicians will test equipment such as laptop chargers, monitors and lab equipment, so if you have appliances in a secure cupboard or room, please arrange a time to have them tested. Please ensure devices are powered down and save your work before you leave each day.
Ceiling repair works
Starting next week and continuing until the end of the year, suspended ceilings are being replaced or repaired in set spaces/rooms in stages across:
- Biological Sciences building – levels B1, 0 and 1
- Humanities building – levels 1 and 2
- Registry annex – level 1.
Works will include restricting access to rooms and spaces, noise and dust. If you work or study in these buildings, please follow directions on signs.
Tonsley façade panels
From Monday 28 to Thursday 31 July, work to replace the Aluminium Composite Panels (ACP) on the Tonsley building façade continues on the southern side of the building (beneath the canopy). Pedestrian diversions are in place, with access to the Flinders building maintained. The project is due for completion in early August.
PC2 labs in Biological Sciences building now complete!
The refurbishment of PC2 (Physical Containment Level 2) laboratories on levels 1 and 2 in the Biological Sciences Building has been completed.
