Safety Switch testing on North Ridge
Testing of safety switches currently underway and continuing until late August, across the Professional Services, Student Hub, Oasis, Social Sciences South and North buildings and The Pendopo. Testing takes places between midnight and 8am. Please ensure devices are powered down and save your work before you leave each day.
Psychology upgrade in SSN
Works to expand the Flinders University Psychology Clinic (FUPC) in the Social Sciences North (SSN) building are now underway, including demolition works in clinical placement rooms on level 2 this week. There may be power outages, noise and potential access impacts on walkways until works conclude in late October. Please follow directions on signage.
Equipment Test & Tag in HMRB
The current testing and tagging program in all levels of the HMRB has been extended to September. Between 6am and 4pm technicians will test equipment such as laptop chargers, monitors and lab equipment, so if you have appliances in a secure cupboard or room, please arrange a time to have them tested. Please ensure devices are powered down and save your work before you leave each day.
Ceiling repair works
Ceiling replacement/repair works are ongoing on levels of the Biological Sciences building. Next month, work will progress to Humanities building.
Works will include restricted access to rooms and spaces, noise and dust. If you work or study in these buildings, please follow directions on signs.
Stormwater repairs at MOB
Stormwater leaks on the north façade of Building B at the Mark Oliphant Building (MOB) are scheduled for repairs from Saturday 30 to Sunday 31 August. These works are necessary to resolve ongoing water ingress issues and will involve the use of EWP and façade sealing.
There may be intermittent noise and restricted access to northern section of the car park during the works.
