{"id":10266,"date":"2018-06-05T13:13:57","date_gmt":"2018-06-05T03:43:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/fit\/?p=10266"},"modified":"2018-06-06T10:29:33","modified_gmt":"2018-06-06T00:59:33","slug":"accounting-student-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/fit\/2018\/06\/05\/accounting-student-year\/","title":{"rendered":"Accounting student of the year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Marithe Solis, a Flinders Alumna, was awarded accounting student of the year at the 2018 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.accountantsdaily.com.au\/australian-accounting-awards\/winners\/2018-winners?utm_source=accountantsdaily.com.au&amp;utm_medium=editorial&amp;utm_campaign=winnersnewsflash\">Australian Accounting Awards<\/a> held on 1 June 2018 in Sydney.<\/p>\n<p>A recent graduate of Flinders, Ms Solis holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Advanced Leadership and Accounting\/Finance) degree, and thanked her university, saying her win would not have been possible without \u201ceverything I\u2019ve learnt and experienced at the university.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As part of her degree, Ms Solis undertook work integrated learning at BankSA.<\/p>\n<p>The awards are presented each year by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.accountantsdaily.com.au\/professional-development\/11734-winners-revealed-for-2018-australian-accounting-awar?utm_source=AD&amp;utm_campaign=ADNewsflash01_06_2018&amp;utm_medium=email\">Accountants Daily<\/a> in collaboration with principle partner Thomson Reuters Tax and Accounting.
