{"id":15518,"date":"2021-03-15T10:52:45","date_gmt":"2021-03-15T00:22:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/fit\/?p=15518"},"modified":"2021-03-15T11:06:20","modified_gmt":"2021-03-15T00:36:20","slug":"get-familiar-with-our-code-of-conduct","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/fit\/2021\/03\/15\/get-familiar-with-our-code-of-conduct\/","title":{"rendered":"Get familiar with our Code of Conduct"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>How we conduct ourselves reflects upon Flinders University as an institution, and our colleagues and collaborators.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s important we observe and adhere to high standards.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s expected all staff would be aware of the University\u2019s core <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/flindersuniversity.cmail19.com\/t\/r-l-tllidhkd-oktthukydi-y\/\">values and ethos<\/a><\/strong>, which provides the foundation for our institutional standards.<\/p>\n<p>Following consultation last year,<a href=\"https:\/\/staff.flinders.edu.au\/code-conduct\"> an 11-point Code of Conduct<\/a> has been developed, details of which can be found on our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/flindersuniversity.cmail19.com\/t\/r-l-tllidhkd-oktthukydi-j\/\">staff portal<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The 11 points of the Code are underpinned by standards that are more closely defined in our\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.flinders.edu.au\/policies\">policies and procedures<\/a>, various legislation, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/staff.flinders.edu.au\/employee-resources\/working-at-flinders\/enterprise-agreement\">industrial agreements<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Code sets out the University\u2019s expectations of its staff and affiliates, and your responsibilities and obligations, and is intended to foster a culture of courtesy and respect.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Please familiarise yourself with its contents,&#8221; says Steve Barrett, director, People and Culture at Flinders University. &#8220;Should you need advice or support in relation to the Code please discuss with your supervisor in the first instance.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How we conduct ourselves reflects upon Flinders University as an institution, and our colleagues and collaborators.
