The first episode features Flinders&#8217; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flinders.edu.au\/people\/luke.cantley\">Luke Cantley <\/a>talking about the Model of Care for Aboriginal Prisoner Health and Wellbeing, with an emphasis on decolonising social work.<\/p>\n<p>Coming episodes will feature SWIRLS members Lorna Hallahan, Carmela Bastian, Kate Seymour and Sarah Wendt.<\/p>\n<p>You can hear and subscribe to the podcast on most platforms, or you can check it out here: <a href=\"https:\/\/anchor.fm\/makingandbreaking\">https:\/\/anchor.fm\/makingandbreaking<\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you have a recent publication or project that relates to social policy and would like to do an interview to increase its impact and engagement, Dr Lohmeyer is keen to hear from you, by email <a href=\"mailto:ben.lohmeyer@flinders.edu.au\">ben.lohmeyer@flinders.edu.au<\/a> or phone 08 8201 7956.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jane Austen music research sparks online interest<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Underlining the world\u2019s enduring fascination of Jane Austen, Dr Gillian Dooley has finished a three-and-a-half-year project cataloguing each playable piece of music in the Austen Family Music Collections, with the recent release of the final volume in the project, titled &#8216;French Songs'(<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/details\/austen1677443-2001\">https:\/\/archive.org\/details\/austen1677443-2001<\/a>) generating a flurry of global online interest.<\/p>\n<p>Dated from the 1780s, this selection of fashionable Parisian music of the era, including mostly opera arias and other theatre music, probably belonged to Jane Austen&#8217;s cousin Eliza, later her sister-in-law when she married Henry Austen.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Dooley performed this research at the University of Southampton library (having been granted a Visiting Fellowship at the University) and worked with Professor Jeanice Brooks in the university\u2019s Music Department.<\/p>\n<p>The catalogue of &#8220;Austen Family Music Books&#8221; is now live on the University of Southampton Library Catalogue\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www-lib.soton.ac.uk\/\">https:\/\/www-lib.soton.ac.uk<\/a> but also incorporated into the UK academic library catalogue JISC\/COPAC, and into WorldCat.<\/p>\n<p>For further information about the project, visit Dr Dooley\u2019s website devoted to Jane Austen Music activities &#8211;\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/site\/janeaustensmusic\/home\">https:\/\/sites.google.com\/site\/janeaustensmusic\/home<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wellbeing for equity practitioners focus of special presentation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flinders.edu.au\/people\/lydia.woodyatt\">Associate Professor Lydia Woodyatt<\/a> was a guest presenter at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncsehe.edu.au\/event\/ncsehe-ephea-presentation-lydia-woodyatt-mental-wellbeing-practitioners\/\">NCSEHE and Equity Practitioners in Higher Education Australasia (EPHEA) WA<\/a>. For this special event held in July, Associate Professor Woodyatt addressed the particular challenges facing equity practitioners and university staff during COVID-19, and identified proactive measures to support ongoing mental wellbeing.
