{"id":18674,"date":"2022-06-06T14:49:42","date_gmt":"2022-06-06T05:19:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/fit\/?p=18674"},"modified":"2022-06-06T14:49:42","modified_gmt":"2022-06-06T05:19:42","slug":"2023-gilead-australia-fellowship-grants-now-open","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/fit\/2022\/06\/06\/2023-gilead-australia-fellowship-grants-now-open\/","title":{"rendered":"2023 Gilead Australia Fellowship grants now open"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In recognition for the projects with a local or community focus and their benefits to patient care, the Gilead Australia Fellowship: Grants Program aims to help bridge the gap in local Australian research funding.<\/p>\n<p>Gilead is committed to supporting innovative local research initiatives to improve patient outcomes. The Grants Program enables Australian researchers to apply for funding across a range of therapeutic areas.<\/p>\n<p>The Program aims to support:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>projects with a clinical and \u2018real-world\u2019 focus<\/li>\n<li>the development and implementation of best practice to enhance patient outcomes<\/li>\n<li>research in the specific disease areas of HIV and\/or chronic viral hepatitis, haematological malignancies, solid tumours (especially breast, lung and bladder), and invasive fungal infections.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The total funding available for the 2023 Grants Program is $300,000 AUD. The requested level of funding should be stated at the time of application.*<\/p>\n<p>Funding is contingent on the project:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>being granted ethics approval (if required)<\/li>\n<li>concluding in no more than 18 months after execution of agreement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>*A maximum award for successful proposals will be $60k. The exact amount of funding allocated to each project may vary depending on the nature of the project. Funding is entirely independent of the use of any particular therapeutic agent.<\/p>\n<p>Applications are now open, and close Friday 12 August 2022.
