Draft new International Student Incident Management Procedures have been developed to support Flinders’ compliance with Standard 6.8 of the National Code.<\/p>\n
The standard requires all CRICOS-registered providers to have a documented policy and process for managing critical incidents that could affect an overseas student\u2019s ability to undertake or complete a course, such as incidents that may cause physical or psychological harm.<\/p>\n
The new drafted procedures capture processes established and managed by International Student Services for assessing and managing incidents that involve an onshore international student.<\/p>\n
The new International Student Incident Management Procedures are intended to work within the framework of the Critical Incident Management Procedures, applying to Level 1 and Level 2 incidents under that framework. The Critical Incident Management Procedures take effect if an incident is assessed as Level 3, or if a Level 1 or 2 incident becomes a Level 3.<\/p>\n
