{"id":22582,"date":"2024-03-12T13:28:19","date_gmt":"2024-03-12T02:58:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/fit\/?p=22582"},"modified":"2024-03-12T16:04:08","modified_gmt":"2024-03-12T05:34:08","slug":"new-procedures-drafted-for-international-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/fit\/2024\/03\/12\/new-procedures-drafted-for-international-students\/","title":{"rendered":"New procedures drafted for International students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Draft new International Student Incident Management Procedures have been developed to support Flinders&#8217; compliance with Standard 6.8 of the National Code.<\/p>\n<p>The standard requires all CRICOS-registered providers to have a documented policy and process for managing critical incidents that could affect an overseas student\u2019s ability to undertake or complete a course, such as incidents that may cause physical or psychological harm.<\/p>\n<p>The new drafted procedures capture processes established and managed by International Student Services for assessing and managing incidents that involve an onshore international student.<\/p>\n<p>The new International Student Incident Management Procedures are intended to work within the framework of the Critical Incident Management Procedures, applying to Level 1 and Level 2 incidents under that framework. The Critical Incident Management Procedures take effect if an incident is assessed as Level 3, or if a Level 1 or 2 incident becomes a Level 3.<\/p>\n<p>The draft procedures can now be viewed online at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flinders.edu.au\/policies\/comment-draft-policies\">Flinders Policy Library<\/a>.
