Congratulations and good luck to the Flinders University students and alumni who are in Paris competing in the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic games!<\/p>\n

Medicine student Sophie Edwards<\/a> and Medical Science student Chloe Moran<\/a> will take to the track as part of the Cycling team to defend their 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games gold medal in the women\u2019s team pursuit. Action on the track begins from 5 August. Sophie also sat down with the team in CMPH to share a little bit more about her journey<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Alumni Jack Rossiter<\/a> is making his third Olympic games appearance, competing in the 10m Air Rifle and 50m three Positions Rifle events. He’s claimed Australia’s best ever finish in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle, finishing in 16th place. Jack will be back competing in the 50m three Position Rifle events on Day 5 (Wednesday 31 July).<\/p>\n

Foundation Studies student Ella Jones<\/a> will be in the pool in the Para-swimming, while Para-triathlete Anu Francis<\/a> will go for gold in as she takes to the streets (and waterways) of Paris.<\/p>\n

Master of Physiotherapy student Caitlin Ward will make her Paralympic debut after winning gold in Birmingham in Para-cycling as a sighted pilot for Jessica Gallagher in the tandem sprint B and tandem time trial B. Caitlin is joined in the Para-Cycling team by Bachelor of Disability and Community Inclusion student Amanda Reid who will be making her fourth Paralympic appearance in Paris.<\/p>\n

Alumni Ella Sabljak<\/a> returns to the Paralympic arena after an appearance in Tokyo – but she’s made a discipline switch in Paris and will take to the field in wheelchair rugby.<\/p>\n
