Dr Susan Matthews<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0from the\u00a0Flinders\u2019 International Centre for Point-of-Care Testing<\/a>\u00a0(IPOCT) team, has been appointed to the\u00a0International Federation of Clinical Chemistry (IFCC) Point-of-Care Committee<\/a> for 2025\u20132027, recognising her global expertise in this specialised field. Amelia, Khadija and Maggie were the big winners in The Advertiser\/Sunday Mail SkyCity Woman of the Year Awards.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Congratulations to Flinders alumni Amelia Griffin<\/strong> (BSpPath \u201920) and Khadija Gbla<\/strong> (BIntSt \u201914), and Honorary Doctorate awardee Maggie Beer<\/strong> (DUniversity \u201922) who were the winners of their respective categories at The Advertiser\/Sunday Mail SkyCity Woman of the Year Awards.<\/p>\n

Amelia won the Rising Star category, while Khadija was the winner of the Community Champion Award. The Jobs Statewide Leader of the Year and the People\u2019s Choice award went to Maggie.<\/p>\n

Professor Maria Inacio<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Professor Maria Inacio<\/strong><\/a>, Matthew Flinders Professor of Health Services and Epidemiology at the Flinders University Caring Futures Institute, has been appointed to the Independent Health and Aged Care Pricing Authority (IHACPA).<\/p>\n

The Independent Health and Aged Care Pricing Authority’s board (the Pricing Authority) provides independent and transparent advice to the Australian Government in relation to funding for public hospitals and residential aged care services.<\/p>\n

Appointed with the agreement of the Prime Minister and First Ministers of the states and territories, Pricing Authority members are appointed for a period of up to five years and can be reappointed.<\/p>\n
