{"id":24317,"date":"2025-04-01T10:58:05","date_gmt":"2025-04-01T00:28:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/fit\/?p=24317"},"modified":"2025-04-01T10:58:05","modified_gmt":"2025-04-01T00:28:05","slug":"parking-at-tonsley","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/fit\/2025\/04\/01\/parking-at-tonsley\/","title":{"rendered":"Parking at Tonsley"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>North Ridge RCD testing and Test and Tag<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The programs for equipment testing and tagging and safety switch (RCD) testing are progressing to the following locations on North Ridge in April:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sturt precinct<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Alan Mitchell Sports Centre.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>RCD testing is conducted out of ordinary business hours.\u202fTesting and tagging takes place during business hours. Technicians will ask to test equipment on your desk.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tonsley parking\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you work at our Tonsley campus, parking in car park 2 (P2) is currently in high demand during peak times. If you\u2019re looking for alternatives:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Train\n<ul>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelaidemetro.com.au\/routes\/flndrs\">FLNDRS line trains<\/a> run between the city and Tonsley every 20 minutes during peak, and every half hour during off peak times. Travel time to and from the city is only 20 minutes. If you\u2019re travelling between our Bedford Park and Tonsley campuses, it\u2019s only a two minute journey.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Bus\n<ul>\n<li>South Road bus stops (~400m walk to Flinders at Tonsley) are serviced by two Adelaide Metro bus service <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelaidemetro.com.au\/__data\/assets\/pdf_file\/0004\/824251\/map_go_zone_25_08_242.pdf\">Go Zones<\/a>. The travel time for bus services 719 and 720 from Old Reynella range from just 20 minutes to 40 minutes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Bike\n<ul>\n<li>Tonsley has both a secure undercover bike park and outside bike racks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Tonsley Link campus bus service\n<ul>\n<li>With a valid parking session, you can park at Bedford Park and use the free Tonsley Link campus bus service, with services every ~15 minutes to\/from Registry, car park 3, or Sturt. Use the app (download from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flinders.edu.au\/campus\/bedford-park\/location\/loop-bus\">Campus Bus webpage<\/a>) to check bus arrival times.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Walking\n<ul>\n<li>Follow the pedestrian path over South Road next to the train line and to the western Tonsley precinct entry. It\u2019s a great way to get your steps up on a nice day!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Public car park 4, Tonsley car park\n<ul>\n<li>Consider parking in the Tonsley public car park adjacent to the train line if car park 2 is full.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To help us prioritise student and staff parking at Tonsley car park 2, please make sure you have an annual Tonsley vPermit. Tonsley vPermits are currently free of charge.
