Plus, where we&#8217;ll find her grabbing a coffee on campus and where we&#8217;ll (likely not) find her escaping the rat race on a family camping trip.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>What is your role here at Flinders?<\/strong><br \/>\nI\u2019m the Chief Marketing Officer, which means I get to champion our incredible brand in a whole myriad of ways. Our goal is to always have a strong presence in market with the objective of increasing applications and, ultimately, enrolments!<\/p>\n<p><strong>How did you get into this work?<\/strong><br \/>\nI\u2019ve always been drawn to the power of ideas and storytelling. Marketing is the perfect playground for both. I started out in agency world in London, and over time (and a small move from London to Darwin!) found myself leading teams that build not just campaigns but have a positive impact on communities. Flinders was a natural fit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>As a marketer, what do you think is Flinders\u2019 point of difference?<\/strong><br \/>\nWe\u2019re not afraid to challenge the status quo and we\u2019re a bit rebellious. We\u2019re also deeply connected to our industry and broader community and we\u2019re always asking \u201cwhat\u2019s next?\u201d. I think that restless energy and momentum is our edge. Oh, and we have the BEST marketing and student recruitment team that always go above and beyond.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is your team working on currently? Any new, exciting campaigns in the pipeline?<\/strong><br \/>\nAbsolutely! \u00a0We\u2019re in full swing on a new brand campaign that\u2019s all about amplifying what makes Flinders extraordinary. We\u2019re also improving the website, building momentum with \u00a0Flinders Online, and fine-tuning what we call our \u201calways-on excellence\u201d &#8211; the behind-the-scenes magic that keeps applications and conversions humming. If it\u2019s delivering growth, we\u2019re into it!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Where would we find you grabbing a coffee or lunch on campus?<\/strong><br \/>\nIf I\u2019m not in a meeting, you\u2019ll probably find me at Local Brew grabbing a coffee or a salmon bagel (yum!). And if it\u2019s lunch with the team, we love a good wander down to the Tav on a Friday. The walk back up the hill (we are based in the Sir Eric Neale building) helps us walk off those burgers!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tell us about your ideal weekend<\/strong><br \/>\nOut in the middle of nowhere, camping with my family. No reception, no rush, just fresh air and adventure. I love going full speed during the week and fully switching off in nature on the weekend.
