City Campus level 6 upgrade<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Works on level 6 of the City Campus are ongoing with restrictions in place on the southern side of the building. This work will expand teaching capacity with two clinical labs and hi-fidelity rooms, a multipurpose lab and home simulation lab.<\/p>\n

A reminder\u00a0that the two\u00a0recording\u00a0booths are not bookable\u00a0until these\u00a0works\u00a0are completed in\u00a0late May.<\/p>\n

Access around Physical Sciences building<\/b><\/p>\n

A reminder that pedestrian access\u00a0is\u00a0temporarily\u00a0altered\u00a0both\u00a0within the Physical Sciences building,\u00a0and\u00a0between Anchor Court,\u00a0the Biology Discovery Centre\u00a0and\u00a0car park 8 for the Physical Sciences building roof renewals and electrical back up and supply projects.<\/p>\n

Changes include closure of the central breezeway between Anchor Court and former car park 7 (as it is a closed construction site) and temporary updates to the\u00a0South Ridge Accessible\u00a0Path<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Please follow diversions as marked on signage. Works will be ongoing into\u00a0mid-2026.<\/p>\n

Electrical\u00a0maintenance\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

The March schedule of compliance testing – test and tagging of electrical appliances, and electrical safety switches (residual current devices or RCDs)\u00a0will be conducted in the following buildings\u00a0from Monday 2 March:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Technicians will test equipment such as laptop chargers,\u00a0monitors\u00a0and desk equipment, so if you have appliances in a secure cupboard or room, please arrange a time to have them tested. Please ensure devices are powered down and save your work before you leave each day.<\/i><\/p>\n<\/td>\n

This testing requires a short power outage, and to minimise disruption will therefore be conducted out of usual hours (between 6am and 9am) unless otherwise advised.\u00a0Remember to save your work before you leave each day.<\/i><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Retail update<\/b><\/p>\n

All retailers have now\u00a0reopened\u00a0for the year,\u00a0with two fantastic new\u00a0Bedford Park\u00a0retail offerings:<\/p>\n

1. A Pot Called Kettle and SMOODI \u2013 in the Professional Services building (check out the profile<\/a> in this edition of Flinders in Touch)<\/p>\n

2. Honey Bee yoghurt and dessert bar \u2013 at the southern end of the Plaza (profile coming soon in Flinders in Touch).<\/p>\n

Campus presentation works<\/b><\/p>\n

While the team have\u00a0made buildings, paths, carparks, open\u00a0spaces\u00a0and gardens look their best for Orientation Week,\u00a0works to\u00a0clean\u00a0windows\u00a0with drones, poles\u00a0or\u00a0abseiling continue\u00a0through March.<\/p>\n

Please\u00a0be reminded to keep your windows shut and\u00a0stay out of work zones, as directed by signage and staff.<\/p>\n
