Electrical shutdown works 11 and 18 July<\/strong><\/p>\n

Electrical shutdown works will occur during the July mid-semester break.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. On Saturday 11 July in the Tonsley main building, and<\/li>\n
  2. On Saturday 18 July in the South Lecture Theatres and the Physical Sciences and Biological Sciences buildings.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    In most cases, buildings and lifts will be closed during works. If you work or study in these locations, please refer to the full program of works.<\/a><\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Electrical maintenance\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The July schedule of compliance testing – test and tagging of electrical appliances, and testing of electrical safety switches (residual current devices or RCDs)\u00a0will be conducted in the following buildings\u00a0from Wednesday 1 July:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

    Technicians will test equipment such as laptop chargers, monitors and desk equipment.<\/em><\/p>\n

    If you have appliances in a secure cupboard or room, please arrange a time to have them tested.<\/em><\/td>\n

    		\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Student Hub, Plaza and Union<\/p>\n

    \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Central Library<\/p>\n

    \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Registry and Registry Annexe<\/p>\n

    This testing requires a short power outage. Therefore, to minimise disruption testing is conducted out of usual hours (between 6am and 9am) unless otherwise advised.<\/em><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

    Before you leave each day, please ensure devices are powered down and save your work.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

    Reminder \u2013 car park 1 temporary restrictions<\/strong><\/p>\n

    On Thursday 2 July, there will be parking restrictions in car park 1 (upper level). Please consider parking elsewhere, so students are given priority to park for exams in the Alan Mitchell Building. Read more><\/a><\/p>\n

    Reminder – crane lift for Physical Sciences building works<\/strong><\/p>\n

    A crane will be positioned in the entrance to the former car park 7 on Saturday 4 July to lift equipment onto the roof of the Physical Sciences building for the Physical Sciences building roof renewal project.<\/p>\n

    A reminder that pedestrian access is temporarily altered both within the Physical Sciences building, and between Anchor Court, the Biology Discovery Centre and car park 8.<\/p>\n
