Please follow directions on signage and stay out of work zones.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Inspection of louvres in the Student Hub <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Between 7:30am and 10:30am on Friday 7 August, we will be conducting the first phases of maintenance on the louvres on the eastern fa\u00e7ade of the Student Hub. There will be diversions to usual paths of travel both inside the Student Hub and outside in the Plaza during works.<\/p>\n<p>The following will be closed while we inspect the louvres:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Two doors on the eastern side between the ground floor of the Plaza and Level 0 of the Student Hub.<\/li>\n<li>The middle stairs of the Student Hub.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Instead, please use the lifts or northern stairs to\/from level 1 of the Student Hub and Plaza or southeastern doors of the Student Hub. Note: The northern and southern doors to the Student Hub remain open.<\/p>\n<p>Please ensure that you stay out of work zones and follow directions and diversions marked on signage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Accessible toilet door works<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Works to upgrade accessible toilet doors are ongoing during August in the following buildings:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Central Library level 3.<\/li>\n<li>Registry Annex basement.<\/li>\n<li>Sports Centre level 3.<\/li>\n<li>Student Hub \/ Union level 1.<\/li>\n<li>Sturt South level 1.<\/li>\n<li>Sir Eric Neal level 3.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please stay out of work zones and follow signage to other facilities nearby.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Electrical maintenance\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The August schedule of compliance testing is now underway and will continue throughout the month.<\/p>\n<p>This includes Test and tag of electrical appliances in the following areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Physical Sciences.<\/li>\n<li>Anchor Court.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Technicians will test equipment such as laptop chargers, monitors and desk equipment. If you have appliances in a secure cupboard or room, please arrange a time to have them tested.<\/p>\n<p>Safety switches \/ RCD (residual current devices) in the following areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Social Sciences South.<\/li>\n<li>Social Sciences North.<\/li>\n<li>Oasis.<\/li>\n<li>Flinders Press.<\/li>\n<li>URRSA\/Archive Store.<\/li>\n<li>Campus Operations.<\/li>\n<li>McHugh\u2019s.<\/li>\n<li>HMRB.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This testing requires a short power outage. Therefore, to minimise disruption testing is conducted out of usual hours (between 6am and 9am) unless otherwise advised.
