But is this good for us? How much history is enough, and how much is too much? What relevance does the legacy of Gallipoli hold for Australia in the 21st century, and what consequences does that have for the work of educators, curators and historians? In this presentation Associate Professor Monteath offers fresh perspectives on how Australians have used and abused Gallipoli\u2019s legacy, and suggests ways in which Gallipoli\u2019s future might be shaped.<\/p>\n<p>The lecture will be on Tuesday,<strong> 14 April<\/strong> 2015 from 3.45pm for 4pm at Flinders University, Victoria Square.\u00a0 Registration to <a href=\"mailto:professionalslectureseries@flinders.edu.au\">professionalslectureseries@flinders.edu.au<\/a> by 13 April. Refreshments will follow the one hour lecture.<\/p>\n<p>Associate Professor Monteath teaches history in the School of International Studies. His research interests range across several aspects of modern European and Australian history, but have a particular emphasis on the political and cultural dimensions of war.
