Dr Narelle Campbell, Director of Clinical and Interprofessional Education, Flinders NT, was invited to give the occasional address to the graduands at the recent School of Health Sciences Awards Night in Adelaide.
She wove together a personal reflection on her career pathway and opportunities, with evidence related to successful recruitment and retention of allied health professionals in remote and rural areas.
Following the speech both families and staff mentioned their appreciation of the speech and how it resonated with their own personal experiences of the challenges and joys of joining the rural/remote workforce.
