Congratulations to the winners of Flinders NT Poche Science Achievement Awards, presented to Northern Territory Middle and High School students in December.
These awards, consisting of a Certificate of Achievement in Science and a prize, identify students who are high achievers and/or who show a keen interest in Science, with the aim of encouraging those wanting to study Medicine to do so in the Northern Territory.
20 schools in the Northern Territory participated including 7 remote, 1 rural and 12 urban, with a total of 64 awards being made.
In 2017, Tennant Creek High School came on board for the first time, with the following students receiving awards:
- Troyston Corbett – Year 11
- Kalheel Galaminda – Year 10
- Kayla Costello – Year 9 (photo not available)
- Myles Fitz – Year 8
- Jai Renfrey-Carroll – Year 7
Flinders NT staff from Darwin, Katherine, Nhulunbuy, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs are invited to present the awards at the end-of-year presentations.
