{"id":2091,"date":"2019-06-27T10:21:53","date_gmt":"2019-06-27T00:51:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/flinders-nt\/?p=2091"},"modified":"2019-06-27T14:49:49","modified_gmt":"2019-06-27T05:19:49","slug":"flinders-nt-and-seda-develop-student-career-plans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/flinders-nt\/2019\/06\/27\/flinders-nt-and-seda-develop-student-career-plans\/","title":{"rendered":"Flinders NT and SEDA develop student career plans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of the SEDA National Indigenous Education and Leadership Program, Darwin students gathered for their first session of the year at the Charles Darwin University and Flinders NT Medical Program campus.<\/p>\n<p>SEDA is the leader of hands on education for year 10, 11 &amp; 12 students and partners with peak industry organisations to provide students with unique opportunities and experiences specific to their interests. Students receive a tailored career plan to develop key employability and life skills for a successful future. Each region brings Indigenous students together 3-4 times a year with the aim to strengthen culture, further explore pathways and improve health and wellbeing through different experiences.<\/p>\n<p>The students learnt about specific entry pathways post-SEDA, Indigenous support programs at university, a life on campus experience and medical program activities.
