She has a clinical background as a speech pathologist, working in the NT for nearly 10 years during which time she developed a strong interest in clinical education.<\/p>\n<p>Melba is passionate about the provision of high-quality clinical placements for nursing and allied health students and aims to convince students of her opinion that the NT is the best place to live and work.<\/p>\n<p>Despite commencing at Flinders NT only a week after staff returned to campus after working from home, Melba has felt welcomed and supported by her new colleagues.<\/p>\n<p>Melba says, \u2018At first I found it a bit intimidating to be working alongside lecturers from my own postgraduate course in clinical education! That said, they inspired me as a student and I&#8217;m sure they&#8217;ll continue to do so as colleagues.
