The Australian Council of Graduate Research Inc is a national body that promotes excellence in research training and scholarship and high standards for all higher degree by research programs nationally.
The ACGR focuses on:
- developing and promoting quality research training across the sector,
- interacting with Government and influencing development of policy, standards and reference points related to research training,
- providing a forum for networking and practice sharing between leaders of graduate research nationally,
- engaging with equivalent bodies internationally.
On Monday, 29 June, the AGCR launched a new Graduate Research Impact Blog as a digital platform for knowledge exchange between academics, graduate researchers and stakeholders. It provides a forum to comment on current issues and advances in graduate research and engage with the public and private sectors in discussions about the value that graduate researchers bring to a knowledge-based economy. It will also promote ACGR and the role it plays in advocating for and supporting quality graduate research education.
Alongside the launch of the new Graduate Impact Research Blog, the ACGR now has a Twitter account to promote the ACGR and the role it plays in advocating for and supporting quality graduate research education. The Twitter handle is @GradResearch_au https://twitter.com/GradResearch_au
As of Friday, 24 July, the ACGR has also its presence on LinkedIn.
