Building Access:
Flinders is committed to maintaining normal research activities and notes that you may need to be on campus during the Christmas/New Year closure. If you have valid after-hours access to the HDR spaces applied to your card you are able to access these spaces during the closure. If you require access and do not currently have it please arrange for this to occur prior 17 December 2024. To request building access please submit a service one request.
As there will be limited people on campus please contact Security on 8201 2880 if you need assistance.
Library Services:
Many library provisions will continue to be available while library staff take a break during the University closure period (from 1pm, 24 December to 1 January 2026 inclusive). During this time, library buildings (excluding City Campus) and information resources (both online and physical) will be accessible 24/7 with your Flinders ID card.

Flinders University Student Association (FUSA) Services:
Please note that FUSA will be closing at 1pm on Wednesday 24 and reopening as usual on Monday 5 January 2026 (per the university closure). During this time, forms, emails, and calls will not be monitored.
Health, Counselling and Disability Services:
The office will be closed from 1.00m on Wednesday 24 December 2025 and will re-open at 9.00am on Monday 5 January 2026.

HDR thesis examinations
Arrangements for HDR Thesis examinations in the lead-up to the closure period are outlined here:
Inspire will remain available if you wish to submit your thesis or thesis amendments during the office closure period. Our team will resume checking submissions from 5 January when the office reopens.
Please note that 17th December is the final date for theses to be sent to examiners. If you have any questions or concerns about meeting this deadline, please contact the Exams team or refer to the key dates in the link above.
