{"id":1056,"date":"2024-01-30T12:41:13","date_gmt":"2024-01-30T02:11:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/hdr-students\/?p=1056"},"modified":"2024-01-30T13:31:26","modified_gmt":"2024-01-30T03:01:26","slug":"farrer-memorial-international-travelling-scholarships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/hdr-students\/2024\/01\/30\/farrer-memorial-international-travelling-scholarships\/","title":{"rendered":"\u00a0Farrer Memorial International Travelling Scholarships"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><br \/>\nFarrer Memorial International Travelling Scholarships<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Scholarships\u00a0are designed to support\u00a0international travel to include attendance at an international conference at which a paper or poster is being presented.<br \/>\nAs a guide, scholarships\u00a0will normally be awarded up to the value $7,500.It is essential that applicants justify why support for travel or other learning and development is being sought, the likely benefits and a budget explanation for the level of funds requested. Applicants are able to visit relevant research centres as part of their itinerary.<\/p>\n<p>Selection will take place to allow travel to be undertaken in the 2024\/25 Financial Year (between 1 July 2024 and 30 June 2025).<\/p>\n<p><strong>CRITERIA<\/strong><br \/>\nApplicants must be:<br \/>\n&#8211; Postgraduate student enrolled for a PhD on any aspect of field crop research; and<br \/>\n&#8211; Citizen or permanent resident of Australia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Applications to include:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Application form, completed and signed &#8211; <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dpi.nsw.gov.au\/__data\/assets\/word_doc\/0003\/1496307\/2024-Farrer-Memorial-Scholarships-Application-Form.docx\">Download here<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Applicant\u2019s CV<\/li>\n<li>Detailed itinerary or plan of travel and\/or educational development<\/li>\n<li>Covering letter from the Dean of Faculty<\/li>\n<li>Supporting statement from a supervisor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applicants should include a curriculum vitae, details of the travel (including and itinerary) or learning developments, details of any papers\/poster to be presented at a research or conference event and a supporting statement from their supervisor.
