New FAC feature: ORCID iD

Back in October the library brought donuts to the FAC.  Now we’re adding ORCID® iDs to the Flinders Academic Commons (FAC) too.

ORCID iDs, for Flinders researchers, are gradually being added to each article in the FAC.  The green iD icon will appear next to the author’s name on each article, and link through to the author’s ORCID iD record.

ORCID iDs benefit researchers by providing a persistent digital identifier that distinguishes one researcher from every other researcher and, through integration in key research workflows such as manuscript and grant submission (including ARC and NHMRC), supports automated linkages between you and your professional activities ensuring that you and your work is recognised.

If you would like more information about to obtain or link your ORCID iD to Flinders University, please see our guide on ORCID iDs and researcher identifiers http://flinders.libguides.com/ORCID or please get in contact with us via Research Services, Library Query in Service One.
