As 2025 winds down, Flinders University Library sends warm wishes to all students, staff, and community members.
Many library provisions will continue to be available while library staff take a break during the University closure period (from 1pm, 24 December to 2 January 2026 inclusive). During this time, library buildings (excluding City Campus) and information resources (both online and physical) will be accessible 24/7 with your Flinders ID card.

24 December β 2 January (university closure period)
During this time:
- Library buildings remain open via ID card access for staff and students (except City Campus).
- Security staff will be on site and accessible (except City Campus).
- Computers, Wi-Fi, printers, and self-service borrowing continue as normal.
- Online resources via FindIt@Flinders are available 24/7 from anywhere.
- You can still borrow and request physical books, including Document Delivery and SendIt requestsβthese will be processed after Monday 5 January.
If you have any questions during the closure, please email (library@flinders.edu.au) or submit requests via Service One. Our team will respond from 5 January.
Goodbye 2025, hello 2026!
From 5 January onwards
- Central, Sturt, Medical, and City Campus Libraries will be open to the public and have their information desks staffed from 5 January. The Tonsley Library information desk will be staffed from Monday 12 January.
- Our regular services will gradually resume after the break β including Digitisation Lab and Special Collections bookings, and Search Support and College drop-in sessions.
