Biomedical Engineering students making us proud!

Congratulations to Ben Schultz and David Baulis (pictured), both MDRI student members who were winners at last nights 2015 Biomedical Engineering Student presentations night. Proudly presented by Engineers Australia’s Biomedical College (South Australia Branch) and The Society for Medical and Biological Engineering (SMBE), the event included presentations by students from Flinders University and the University of Adelaide.

Following the judges deliberation Ben was awarded winner in the Masters category for his ‘We move with you: Autonomous video capture of walking gait via the novel GaitScanner’ presentation and David was announced winner of the Honours category for his presentation on StairGait.

Congratulations to all students who presented their research and thank you to all judges for their time and feedback.

David Baulis also recently won the IET Rex Johns Student Presentation Prize for 2015 (last month), which means he will represent South Australia at the IET Present Around the World (PATW) National Final. Congratulations David and good luck at the Nationals!
