Removal of computers owned by Flinders University from the SA Health Network

The following is to inform you about a project to identify and remove computers owned by Flinders University connected to the SA Health network.

Earlier this year, SA Health entered into a supplier contract with a new computing hardware support provider, DXC Technology.
DXC Technology will only support computing assets officially owned by SA Health. As a result, SALHN have requested that any non-SA Health computers be removed from their network.

This affects over 100 computers owned by Flinders that are connected to the SA Health network. SA Health has issued a formal instruction to Flinders that all Flinders-owned computers must be removed from the SALHN network as soon as possible.

To minimise the business impact of this change, SA Health and Flinders have set up a joint SALHN Device Migration Team to manage the transition.

The Migration Team will issue a short survey on 2 July 2018 to those identified as being in possession of a Flinders University computer. This is to acquire information necessary for the transition, e.g. computer, location, owner, and ICT services used.

The data from the survey will be used to ensure staff are as fully supported as possible through the change.

If you have any questions about the project or the planned survey, please contact the relevant project officer within your organisation:

For SA Health, Howard Mostyn

For Flinders University, Greg Fitzell (Project Manager)
