Flinders University at the Riverland Field Days

Last Friday and Saturday Flinders were at the Riverland Field Days in Barmera.

Although the weather was inclement, this did not deter visitors with more than 11,300 coming through the gates and approximately 350 to our Flinders site.

Sharing information and answering questions about Flinders programs and courses were Chris Slee (OSR), Alisha Uswatte (Yungkurrinthi), Annie Murray (Public Health) and MDRS students Hugo Keller, Kate Constance, Joe Crawshaw and Shannon Waters.

High school students from across the Riverland visited the site on Friday as part of a careers trail with interest in health being the most popular topic but information about teaching, sciences, sport, medicine, arts and law was requested. Saturday visitors to the site included families and adults, including a dentist interested in changing direction and studying medicine.

Our MDRS students shared their journeys to medicine and learning experiences and as always, were great ambassadors for the program.
