On the weekend of the 1st and 2nd June Flinders University Renmark campus space, grounds and simulation centre were used to facilitate a RMCLHN Emergency Response Conference focussing on trauma with eighty facilitators and participants from across the state attending.
MD students on placement appreciated the opportunity to be involved with two Hills Mallee Fleurieu, three Riverland MDRS 3rd year and MD students from the University of Adelaide who all donated their time as patients for the motor vehicle accident scenario.
This successful collaborative event gave participants the opportunity to observe local MFS, SES, SAPOL and SAAS teams conduct the extrication involving three vehicles and treat the patients in a mass casualty scenario.
