Two members of the Flinders community have been recognised at this year’s Northern Territory Prevocational Medical Assurance Services Awards, and we couldn’t be prouder.
Dr Madison Ludwig – 2026 NT Prevocational Doctor of the Year
Madison graduated from Flinders University in 2024 through the Northern Territory Medical Program, and she’s now a Resident Medical Officer at Alice Springs Hospital with the Central Australia Regional Health Service. Just two years after finishing medical school, she has been named the NT’s Prevocational Doctor of the Year.

The award recognises outstanding performance among doctors in the early years of their careers. For Madison, it reflects the skill, compassion and commitment she brings to patients, colleagues and communities in Central Australia.
Her story is just what the Northern Territory Medical Program was built for: training doctors in the NT and supporting them to build their careers there. Seeing a graduate thrive in Alice Springs is a highlight for everyone who has been part of her journey.
Dr Anosh Sivashanmugarajah – 2026 NT Clinical Educator of the Year
The Flinders connection doesn’t stop there. Dr Anosh Sivashanmugarajah, a cardiologist and general medicine physician at Alice Springs Hospital, received the 2026 NT Clinical Educator of the Year Award.

Anosh is a valued Flinders supervisor and ad-hoc teacher who generously shares his time and expertise with our students. His award recognises his dedication to shaping the next generation of doctors and we’re grateful for everything he does.
Learning, growing and giving back
From graduate to educator, these two awards show what the Flinders community is about: learning, growing and giving back, especially in rural and remote Australia.
Congratulations, Maddy and Anosh!
