{"id":1771,"date":"2023-10-24T11:06:17","date_gmt":"2023-10-24T00:36:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/mph-news\/?p=1771"},"modified":"2023-10-24T11:21:16","modified_gmt":"2023-10-24T00:51:16","slug":"spotlight-on-the-icpoct-qaams-program-impact-on-diabetes-point-of-care-testing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/mph-news\/2023\/10\/24\/spotlight-on-the-icpoct-qaams-program-impact-on-diabetes-point-of-care-testing\/","title":{"rendered":"Spotlight on the ICPOCT QAAMS Program impact on diabetes point-of-care testing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The 60<sup>th<\/sup> Anniversary of the Australasian Association of Clinical Biochemists (AACB) Conference held on 17-19 October 2023 at the Royal International Convention Centre, Brisbane, presented the perfect opportunity to showcase the achievements of the QAAMS Program (Quality Assurance for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Medical Services) in an oral presentation session.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-1774\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/mph-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/79\/2023\/10\/GWW.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"227\" height=\"265\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/mph-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/79\/2023\/10\/GWW.png 309w, https:\/\/blogs.flinders.edu.au\/mph-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/79\/2023\/10\/GWW-257x300.png 257w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 227px) 100vw, 227px\" \/>The program\u2019s activities and <strong>impact of 24 years of diabetes point-of-care testing<\/strong> on Aboriginal medical services throughout the country was presented by the <strong>QAAMS Scientific Manager &amp;<\/strong> <strong>Program Lead, Grant White<\/strong>, using a program logic model to summarise the Program\u2019s clinical need, aims, activities, key outputs, end users, adoption pathway and impact.
