On Monday academics and professional staff from Flinders were welcomed at Grant High School in Mt Gambier for the Limestone Coast Roadshow.<\/p>\n

Year 10, 11 & 12 students from schools across the Limestone Coast region travelled from as far away as Bordertown to attend the Flinders University Roadshow for a day of fun, practical and informative workshops across a range of disciplines.<\/p>\n

The day provided students with a taste of university, the chance to engage with academics, and explore some of our exciting study areas.<\/p>\n

Medical professions were represented by Lauren Thurgood (Medical Science), Liz Buckley (Public Health), Shannon Macfarlane (Paramedicine), Elspeth Radford (Rural and Remote Health & SARM Program) and medical student ambassador Le Jiang.<\/p>\n

\"\"The students were engaged, embraced activities enthusiastically, asked questions about the different health courses, pathways to medicine and the SARM Program.<\/p>\n

A highlight for students were the ambulance tours and hands on CPR with local paramedics who kindly brought the ambulance and gave their time.<\/p>\n
