A Flinders University graduate and the inaugural Royal Australian College of General Practitioners\u00a0\u201cRural\u00a0Generalist\u00a0of the Year\u201d,\u00a0James shares his journey into rural general practice and what keeps him deeply connected to community-based care.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Now based in Renmark, South Australia, James works across Renmark Medical Centre and the emergency department at Riverland General Hospital. With special interests in complex general medicine, chronic disease management, skin surgery, and palliative care, his work reflects the breadth and adaptability\u00a0required of\u00a0rural generalists.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Listeners will hear James reflect on the moment he learned he had received national recognition for his advocacy and storytelling in rural health.
