FameLab is the largest, public-facing science communication training program and competition for early career researchers in the world. FameLab provides an ideal platform for researchers to tell a national and international audience about their work.
It’s their opportunity to bring fame to their lab, showcase their research projects, represent their field of expertise, and raise the profile of the organisations at the forefront of science and research in Australia.
Science communication training at no cost to the researchers
- Entry to FameLab is free
- Top quality science communication training is provided
- Finalists receive media and interview training
- Finalists are invited to immersive science communication workshops by subject matter experts during a 3-night stay in Perth
- Travel and accommodation costs for finalists are paid by the organisers
- The FameLab Australia winner receives a trip to Cheltenham Science Festival 2026
