The intentional pursuit of everyday life while dying: A longitudinal study of working-aged adults living with advanced cancer

Presenter: Julie Brose, PhD Candidate

What would you do if you only had six months to live? What would your life look like? Limited studies address how adults living with advanced cancer engage in meaningful activities, particularly as their disease progresses and function declines over time. The aim of this longitudinal study was to explore the lived experience of everyday life for working-aged adults living with advanced cancer, noting changes that occurred over time, and mapping findings against the Model of Human Occupation.
