Palliative care for older people in SA and Aotearoa, NZ

As part of an Aotearoa New Zealand–led Catalyst grant, Associate Professor Aileen Collier facilitated this special RePaDD seminar exploring culturally responsive approaches to palliative care for older people.

The event brought together international guests from the Rauawaawa Kaumātua Charitable Trust, the University of Auckland, and the University of Leeds, alongside local researchers and Aboriginal health colleagues from the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network. Through keynote presentations, panel discussions, and cross-cultural exchange, the seminar highlighted the importance of collaboration in strengthening palliative care for underserved populations in both Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
